I’m excited to begin a wonderful school year with you all. This year marks my 12th year with Prince William County Schools, and I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal of Loch Lomond Elementary.
Before joining the Loch Lomond community, I spent eleven years as a special education teacher at PACE West. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Childhood and Special Education from Daemen College, a master’s degree in Adolescent Special Education from Buffalo State College, and a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.
Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, our two energetic boys, Chase and Myles, and our sweet 8-year-old dog, Champ. As a family, we enjoy outdoor adventures like visiting local playgrounds. I also love reading, baking, and finding fun, creative ways to stay active together. These moments help me stay grounded and remind me of the joy and curiosity I strive to bring into my work with students and families every day.
I’m proud to be part of such a dedicated and caring team here at Loch Lomond. I look forward to working with you to support our students’ success and well-being.
Admin Intern
Arlette Medina
It is an honor to be the Admin Intern of Loch Lomond Elementary School. I was born in Puerto Rico and I am married with two daughters. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, going to sport events, and spending time with my husband and two daughters.
I have been an educator since 1996, beginning as a classroom teacher, academic supervisor, special education district supervisor, department chair, and summer school assistant principal. I came to Prince William County in 2017 where I served students at Woodbridge High School, Enterprise Elementary School, and Colgan High School. My passion is to work with students, staff, parents, and stakeholders to help our students thrive academically, emotionally, and socially.
I hold a B.A. in Special Education in Communication Impairments and Mild Impairments from Universidad del Turabo, a M.E. in Curriculum and Teaching from Universidad del Turabo, M.A. Administration and Supervision and 30 credits towards the Reading Specialist Degree from Liberty University, an Ed.D in Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning with a Specialty in Special Education Environment from Universidad del Turabo, and Certifications in Chemistry and Physics from Universidad del Puerto Rico. I am excited to begin my new journey at Loch Lomond Elementary School and contribute to making learning for a lifetime.
