What we are working on this unit:
SOL for Language Arts:
2.2a and 2.2b The student will expand understanding and use of word meanings
2.3a, 2.3b, 2.3c, 2.3d The student will use oral communication skills
2.7 The student will expand vocabulary when reading
2.8a and 2.8b The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of fictional texts
2.9b, 2.9e The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of nonfiction texts
2.10a and 2.10b The student will demonstrate comprehension of information in reference materials.
SOL for Mathematics
2.5 The student will recall addition facts with sums to 20 or less and the corresponding subtraction facts.
2.9 The student will recognize and describe the related facts that represent the inverse relationship between addition and subtraction
2.21 The student will solve problems by completing numerical sentences involving the basic facts for addition and subtraction. The student will create story problems, using numerical sentences.
SOL for Social Studies
