Welcome to Title 1 Math and Reading

What is Title I?

Title I is a federal assistance program that supports schools in meeting their students’ academic needs. The Title I program provides Loch Lomond with additional educational funding for instructional resources and additional specialized teachers in math and reading.

Who are the Title I teachers?
At Loch Lomond, our Title I math resource teacher is Ms. Orsborn, OrsborBA@pwcs.edu, and the Title I reading resource teacher is Mrs. Martinez-Rigg, MartinYR@pwcs.edu.  Feel free to contact us if you should have any questions.

We work in classrooms with teachers and students to help all children succeed in becoming proficient with the Virginia Standards of Learning.  Title I funds are also used for educational materials and programs that help support our students as they become confident learners.

Why is Title I important at Loch Lomond?
The Title I specialists at Loch Lomond Elementary, work together with teachers and parents to share ideas and provide educational support.  Parents are invited to participate in Title I Loch Lomond Parent events to learn more about the Title I program and ways we can work together to support your student at school and home.

We look forward to meeting and working with you and your children this year!
